Working closely within the senior EMEA (Europe, Middle East & Africa) team for a creative agency with both a Middle East and UK presence, you will be fully responsible for all commercial activities across the region and report into the Global CFO, based in London. This is a highly dynamic and operational role encompassing all business and strategic partnership stakeholder management, operational activities, strong financial project acumen and overall business development in the Middle East region.
It is required that the successful individual will be exceptionally client and supplier facing and support the local GM & MD in business development meetings to prepare, review and analyse client expectations and budgets, forecast and monitor overall costs of high-profile projects, ensure maximum profitability for the company and take the lead with commercial requirements associated with new business activities. You will therefore also identify new revenue enhancement opportunities through your extensive commercial acumen and creative agency industry knowledge. There is a particular focus on the market in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the role will also require those with the flexibility to travel regularly between Saudi and the UAE.
Throughout any given project the Senior Commercial Manager will be responsible for the development and monitoring of budgets, working in liaison with clients to ensure this is evaluated regularly. Providing clear and concise finance, business and market intelligence to enable the regional business unit to constantly develop is a key function in this role. It will also encompass developing and managing strong internal and external stakeholder relationships with suppliers to ensure operational compliance, high levels of service delivery and of course, value for money.
You will be a senior business development and commercial candidate ready to take on a challenging role where you are able to drive the business forward, not just with day-to-day financial acumen and control, but also in terms of further client growth and organisational reach. You will be instrumental in supporting the team to make important business decisions to increase profit margins and additional revenue streams for the future.
The ideal candidate for this role will be robust, dynamic and resilient to be an integral part of the development of our client’s successful brand in the region. You will be the “go to person” whom is pro- active and able to demonstrate sound commercial awareness in making positive and profitable business decisions. Therefore, you will show strong leadership qualities and strength of character as well as any financial qualifications. Those holding ACA, CIMA or ACCA qualifications and a proven career in commercial business strategy, preferably within a similar creative industry are exceptionally advantageous.
